The rehabilitation returned the exterior of the Munroe House to its
historically correct original configuration and façade, reconstruct the
original porch, secure the building structurally, repair the roof, and
enlarge the first floor's Museum Shop with a parlor addition. Asbestos
siding was removed and taupe trim and dark green shutters were added for
further historical authenticity. The restoration was funded by a grant from
the Florida Department of States Division of Historical Resources, which was
matched jointly by Lemoyne Art Foundation and the City of Tallahassee.
Project was delivered using a construction manager with value engineering.
